If he's expecting a wink wink Martell Webster style contract from Morey, he's going to be sorely disappointed.
Give us some good service in the playoffs this year, and we'll see what we can do with the cap to retain him. Great fit on this team. Somehow though I feel Morey will perfect the Clone Wars. He saw what Don Nelson with the Warriors beating the Mavs that one year, and he knew there was something to it. Having 4-5 guys 6'5-6'9 who are lanky, athletic, and able to hit the deep ball is a really powerful and versatile tool. With it you can go big (as we have done with Garcia at the 2) or small (Casspi at the 4) and just abuse other teams' weaknesses.
Fegan - "All your player are belong to me" Morey - "Noooooo! On the bright side, I got the Midas touch!"
No one afaik. But if the Rockets make a trade for Courtney Lee, then you have to wonder if something's in the air. Personally, I wouldn't be concerned about things unless the Rockets overpay a random scrub with our MLE who happens to be represented by Fegan. This isn't even a stretch FWIW. Many believed that Martell Webster got a nice $5mil/yr contract with the Wizards because Fegan also repsents John Wall.
With the two small forward being injured and SHOULD be on limited minutes, it's Casspi's turn to shine baby.
Casspi could have been used to drive down Parsons' price and Fegan is not going to let that happen. sigh...
believe me, we will pay Parsons and let Casspi go if he becomes too expensive. then morey will conjure up another 3pt shooting small forward from nowhere. meanwhile, Casspi should know he benefits from playing in the Rockets system. he will get lost on another team.
Casspi won't dictate Parsons' price, the market will. It's not like the Rockets are gonna re-sign them in a vacuum. The Rockets will have to match whatever Parsons gets offered by the rest of the league regardless of Omri's contract.
