Miami has nothing to do with the trade in that tweet.

He's saying getting Hawes would make the Rockets true contenders. Which means Miami should get busy if they want to beat Houston.

I wasn't diminishing Bosh's value. It's VERY unlikely they do that trade, regardless of what else we add to the package.

If not Bosh, then what could they give us?

Doc Rocket is giving you a hint that the trade of Asik/Lin is going to be big enough to put us on track for Love or Melo (or Rondo or possibly Eric Gordon or Luol Deng) at the trade deadline which will give Miami a run for their money in the Finals.

Can Hawes space the floor? How would he fit in our system and next to Dwight? And wouldn't it be like a rental?

Yes. Probably as a power forward or backup center. And yes.

    Pretty scary but true.

Stick a fork in any Anderson Varejao trade he will have a bobblehead night this Friday!

Cavs just announced Anderson Varejao Bobblehead Night for FRI. They wouldn't dare trade him now as part of an Asik deal THURS. Would they?
— Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) December 16, 2013

IMO I would rather have green than hawes if I had to pick one but if we somehow get both than great but I think green brings more impact to our team than hawes would the only knock on green is his contract but he's young athletic can defend shoot the 3 slash good finisher I mean anybody who can defend lebron and give him fits is ok with me and if I'm not mistaken didn't green drop like 44 on the heat before hawes on the other hand will just bring shooting spacing and can play spot minutes and his contract is good too but other than that he will get destroyed by the bigs in the west he just doesn't bring much to the table

Bah, those bobbleheads never really look like the players anyway. All they would have to do is cut off the hair and repaint a little bit.

Can extend to the three, think he's shooting 41% from drep
Make a better half court set paired with Dwight for floor spacing.
Might, he'll command big money this off season.

I would say hawes is what a lot of us wanted dmo to be doing right now.

Green is not impressive tonight. He supposedly drives Celtics fans crazy (like Bill Simmons) with his inconsistency. Dissappears for stretches of games. Why do you guys want him again?

Same reason he got that $40m contract, he was drafted 5th overall and people assume something is there that isn't.
