They are 6-2, and second in the West. Why would they want to trade LMA to us? No way that happens unless LMA pushes for it, and there's no reason to believe he would. Nor am I excited about Rondo. Too much drama from that guy.
And people on this board keeps saying starting is not important. Hell yeah starting is important to players. These guys all have massive egos. Sadly, Lin might be next to go. Really sad about asik. Really, really like him. I don't blame him at all for asking for a trade. Who wants to be a backup in your prime and when you are top 10 in your position. I wish asik the best.
Because Jeremy isn't really losing out on minutes so has the opportunity to play up anyway, if it was Chris Paul we got, he probably would have since there's no taking minutes from that guy (see Bledsoe).
I agree, dude is a great defender, but thats about it. And now with Howard in the line up totally expandable.
Sure they all have contracts. I have rarely seen a Role Player or his agent pouting like this. He is getting paid and he was used in all games. Trade is coming one or the other way. He and his agent do not have to go to the media every time he is playing 4-5 minutes.
Evan Turner, Pau Gasol? just some names rumored who MAY be on the block... idk who we would get for Asik.. though it could be a piece.. I am trying to think of players.. Would you deal Asik, T Jones, filler for like Zach Randolph or someone of that caliber? Paul Millsap?
In others news water is wet. He hasn't been a team player and embraced his role but pretty much sulked it out there. Later dude.
Just speculation but would be cool: Now, there's some speculation about a potential swap between the Rockets and Celtics, according to Sam Smith on NBA.com. Smith suggests a Rondo for Asik deal that would certainly create some noise around the league. Smith brings up a legitimate point: Will the Celtics be realistic contenders by 2015, when Rondo's contract expires? Probably not. If so, what exactly will keep Rondo in town when plenty of other teams will be begging for his services? If the trend of superstars wanting to play together continues, a facilitator with championship experience like Rondo will be in high demand. Still, getting Asik simply would not be nearly enough. He's a nice player, but Asik isn't on Rondo's level. Boston would most likely look to flip Asik to another team in hope for assets, as he simply doesn't help the team's long term plans. There doesn't seem to be any reason for Ainge to pull the trigger on such a deal. This appears to be just speculation, and nothing more. Danny Ainge isn't dumb enough to trade Rajon Rondo for Omer Asik. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba-trade-rumor-rajon-rondo-omer-asik-swap-160000356--nba.html
Morey trades when Morey gets what he wants, otherwise Morey will wait until the deadline in the last season of Asiks contract to trade him. Certainly we have all seen Morey in action a number of times.
I may sound crazy. Does anyone think Rockets could possible target CAVs No.1 pick Anthony Bennett. He is far from good. But could be a project for the long term. Dude was a beast in college. Rox could also get a pick in return though
