I wish nothing but the best for Omer. Yes, he pouted for about two games las season, but who can blame him. He got screwed when we signed Dwight. He played hard every time he was on the floor in my opinion. Hope he has a long and productive career.

    ode to asik
    oh Asik my Asik
How I have loved your free throws
From large and lumbering to lean and thundering
You've evolved into a beautiful pelican
I am sad to see you go
But happy to see you grow
    Goodbye my Asik

Thanks Omer, you anchored our defense in 2012-13, helped us get to the playoffs, thus making Houston a viable option for your replcement and vast upgrade Dwight Howard. Adios stonehands, you were very loveable.

Good luck big man. I loved your first year here and tolerated your second year here. I'm sure you'll do well in NO, winning ~50 games and fighting for the 7-8 seed in the playoffs.

He worked hard to get those starter minutes so he deserves this. Just hope he remembers that we took a chance on him and 2013-2014 changed his career.

Great while it lasted. It serves Asik right to be a starter in this league.

Unlike certain fans of certain players we have too much lives to waste trailing mediocrity like flies to a piece of dung.

Good Luck in NO Asik. That team will surely lead the league in rebounding.

He look ok. Didn't care for the jakeing, but he got a raw deal aside from all of it coinciding with his stock going up regardless. I thought he fit well for a lumbering dude on a running team, but he needs to finish strong more often. Otherwise, he was getting to be pretty awesome here, shame he can't stay.
