    Who's gonna be our Clyde? We need one piece to put us clearly over the top. Right now, we have a fighting chance, but it's no sure thing.

    Why Stop? I still have full on hate for them. They aren't our current rivals but they are still the same Jazz fans breading more Jazz fans. Have you missed out on the new Youtube sensation Z-Dog? YEAHHHHHHHHHH!

    Players were pure back then. They're not as pure today. - tinman

    Harden is good in this era but back in my era & on that Rockets team, he'd be lucky to even see the court. - Kenny Smith

    ;)

    It's not about how good is this team, it is about how good is the opponent?

    In 1994 and 1995, there is no good opponents.

    GS are not playing good basketball now, but they are good in the playoffs. They are not fatigue in the playoffs.

    At that time, you got Sonics, Suns and Magic.
    Right now, you got GS, Raptors and Bucks

    GS > Sonics (this is the difference)
    Raptors = Suns
    Bucks = Magic

    One thought comes to mind when I look at that pic: Kenny Smith was mighty lucky to be on the court with four badasses.

    not a lot of comparisons imo...
    other than a superstar who got accused of traveling...

    93-34 we acclimated a couple rookies who paid off big throughout and into the post season... this season our rooks cant even make it onto the floor... jus sayin...

    1995 - Slow start, trade of OT for Clyde, exile of Max leads to repeat of title.

    2019 - Slow start, trade of MCW for conditional 2nd round pick, exile of Melo leads to repeat as WC finalist.

    Also accused of ugly iso-ball

    Also starting a tweener at PF (though that seems to have become a Rockets hallmark for this millennium)

    The rap music was vastly superior in 94
    They had cool names too like
    Wu tang or 2pac or tribe called quest

    This generation has lil peep and tekashi69 and xxtacion

    It’s garbage

    I think it was a similar struggle with getting healthy and adjusting to the new players that dot both teams. The difference is that the 94 team (meaning the 1995 champions) were coming off of a championship and had supreme confidence. The Rockets are coming off of bad luck in the conference finals. Both teams have MVPs, a good second man (CP/Drex), and role players that know their job.

    To me, this is a year to sit back and have faith that we're good enough to win when it matters. We have yet to see this team play one game healthy and together. We have Rivers adding to us now, House, Ennis, Knight... we're deep, just not healthy. We're better on paper this year than last year, but championship meddle is everything.
