LOL @ the playoff FG% difference

Call me when Dirk can run the team offense and create for his teammates for an entire game, let alone two seasons and playoffs for two championships.

Dirk won the MVP and then got mopped out of the playoffs by the #8 seeded team in the first round, a series in which he struggled against midgets.

I am going to leave defense out of this discussion to keep it somewhat respectable for Dirk.

Let's imagine this one on one. Olajuwon shuts down Dirk with his defense. Dirk gets into foul trouble and fouls out within 15 minutes. Debate over.

Yes. Obviously Dirk is the best international player. Hakeem is American.

What hurt Dirk's legacy ,is that he was close of wining another championship but Cuban decided to dismantle his roster.

Both guy are great on-off court for sure. the edge go to Hakeem , and it's not bad to be 2nd best international player after him.

The hard debate if any of those player is really better than TD

Lol... I love how they show total points and then use averages for rebounds and totally ignore steals

    1. Poll the city of Dallas...Dirk.
    2. Poll the rest of the United States... Dream.

    And its not even close.

Here is an excerpt from the article...

Exactly! Call me when Nowitzki has to lead a team agains this type of competition, in a era where you almost wouldn't get called for touch fouls and could wrestle for position (especially big men!) etc.

Joke of the Century, to think that Nowitzki is in the same league as the great Olajuwon.
Hakeem and co 94-95 would crush the Dallas Mavs championship team, and make Mark Cuban cry.

International player? Hakeem is as international as Duncan when it comes to basketball. He learned to play organized basketball in the US.

Tim Duncan and Parker alone were greater impacts on the game then Dirk. If Dirk had been able or willing to commit on the defense then he may be in the conversation. No serious NBA fan would say none other than Hakeem.

The only notable all star that Hakeem had on his championship years was Clyde. He elevated everybody else's game. Dirk had the luxury of Tyson, Marion, Kidd, Peja, Caron - all played in an all star game. Then you have the Jet who won the sixth man of the year and if one of the best clutch shooters.

    Not even debatable.

Olajuwon go those numbers under triple and sometimes quadruple team. He completely dominated the game. Also, his assist numbers are way lower than the actual impact he had. The old school Rockets swung the ball around so a lot of those assists were not counted for him.
