Paul George is not going back to the Thunder. This is just his handlers trying to soften the blow so he can keep his semblance of a reputation and continue to sell Gatorade to diabetic kids.
Considering PG's previous injury, I just don't see him taking a 1+1 deal. He strikes me as a guy that would want to get the security of a full 4 or 5 year deal.
It felt like he mailed it in some games at the end. Too much deferring when he was clearly the best open option to shoot. Rated G for no Playoffs.
Right? I was so looking forward to him leaving OKC. Now it seems like it would be much worse for us if we he went to the Lakers and recruited. I didn't even think he was a good enough draw to recruit at all. Being stuck on a capped-out OKC with an aging Westbrook would be much more ideal.
