Updating @J.R. 's list. Only begin from #4 since the top three teams have pretty much been locked. 4. 46-33 Utah -April 8 @ Los Angeles Lakers -April 10 vs Golden State -April 11 @ Portland 5. 45-34 San Antonio -April 7 vs Portland -April 9 vs Sacramento -April 11 @ New Orleans 6. 45-34 Oklahoma City -April 7 @ Houston -April 9 @ Miami -April 11 vs Memphis 7. 44-34 New Orleans -April 6 @ Phoenix -April 7 @ Golden State -April 9 @ LA Clippers -April 11 vs San Antonio 8. 44-35 Minnesota -April 6 @ Los Angeles Lakers -April 9 vs Memphis -April 11 vs Denver 9. 44-35 Denver -April 7 @ LA Clippers -April 9 vs Portland -April 11 @ Minnesota 10. 42-37 LA Clippers -April 7 vs Denver -April 9 vs New Orleans -April 11 vs Los Angeles Lakers Clippers are practically out. With the win tonight, Denver is tied with Minny, but they lost the tiebreaker. The last game of the season will be huge.
Thank you for updating, but I do want to say that Portland is not locked into 3rd seed. They still play the Spurs, Nuggets, and Jazz. That Jazz game will mean a lot if the Jazz can keep wining and the Blazers continue to lose. And the Nuggets have a lot to play for, as do the Spurs. Blazers could end up 3rd and Jazz could be 3rd. This is very entertaining for us, having already locked up the 1st seed.
Westbrook needs 37 rebounds in his last 3 games to "average a triple double" again (technically 9.95 but that will round up to 10.0 in every record book). If he gets 41, then he will have truly averaged a triple double. I really, really hope he gets it.
If Russ is hunting for rebounds he is in the lane leaving his man open on the perimeter. Russ hunting for those rebounds might be the reason they miss the playoffs.. God, how delicious would that be!?
I actually want them to finish with the exact same record, in the same exact same seed, with Russ averaging a triple double again. I think that would be the ultimate way to highlight the absurdity of last year's MVP award.
I thought rounding doesn't count in records like this (or 50-40-90 stuff). You have to ave 10.0000. No? So he has to make up 11 rebounds (41 total), but very doable since he made up 11 in the last two games, alone. I'm so with you on this. Would be so cool. They won't even give him 1 vote. How do you go from winning to zero 1st place votes with a triple double? He won't even get 3rd this year.
You might be right. I just assumed it would go in the books rounded to the tenths place as is common practice. Casual fans would definitely claim it's a triple double as long as they see that 10.0, but the NBA may not officially recognize it. But who are we kidding? If Russ needs 41, he will make sure to get them.
Yeah, apparently when Ted Williams was sitting at .39955, they said he could have sat out the last doubleheader, and still be a .400 hitter.
Paul George got some free agency questions today and said he can “see myself being here,” said it’s “not championship or bust,” and stressed a few times about it being his first year with Westbrook and Melo
Yeah, I know they haven't clinched yet. Their magic number to clinch is 2. If they beat the Jazz in the last game, they are #3 no matter what other things happen. The last day of the season could be fun. Blazers vs Jazz and Nuggets vs Wolves. Huge games for the playoffs.
It will be tough for OKC to miss the playoffs in my opinion. They could easily beat us the way we've given half assed efforts the last few games and then it's just Miami and Memphis. Think they'll go 2-1 in that stretch losing to either us or Miami and that basically locks them in.
Tonight and tomorrow are huge. If the TWolves lose to the Lakers tonight they will be biting down hard. Then tomorrow night will be big. Basically every team from 5-8 will have a very big game tomorrow night.
What was it like growing up from the invention of the telephone all the way to the internet? How did you adjust? What was the most surreal technology advance in your opinion? And how do you feel about virtual reality?
