It was my understanding that there would be no math involved in the debate

Well, in Charles Barkley's expert opinion, OKC will be better with Martin+Lamb than they were with Harden. I think he was alone in thinking that, though.

Just heard that. He thinks short term they are better, we'll see.

I don't see how they are better in the long term though like Charles thinks.

That would assume that Lamb is going to be better than Harden...or one of their completely unknown draft picks are.

What does this mean? He was bullied by Harden?

Can't say I understand what Brooks thinks he is going to accomplish with this 2nd unit.

Reggie Miller just said that Kevin Martin is just as good as Harden when it comes to facilitating "based on numbers"

    Reggie Miller just says things...

You could make a bunch of silly arguments like this "Based on numbers."

I was dying when I heard that, he didn't take minutes played into account at all. He's an idiot. Martin has been passing on easy shots for him. Can't believe he passed to Collison when he had a wide open free throw line jumper.

He did actually. He said they played about the same minutes per game last season which is true.

Rocket fans can remember many a game that in the 4th qtr when the team needed a score...Martin seemed to enjoy passing up shots.

I must have missed that. I'm sold, Kmart is equal to what I saw explode on the court yesterday. That idea definitely passes the eye test:)

Yeah its hilarious how he thinks that Martin and Harden are comparable in what they can provide to a team.

Though I do think that the OKC - Rockets trade was a win-win for both sides. OKC shouldn't have paid max money to a third perimeter star player and Harden was always better than a 3rd option. Martin should fit in fine with what OKC are doing, they're not a big passing team and just need him to be a scorer on their 2nd unit.

Well, Harden is better than Martin in nearly every way. There's no reason to believe he can make up for what Harden brought to the table.

I think what we'll begin to see is more movement in the Thunder's offense as the season goes on. They no longer have 3 iso threats to rely on and it would be a shame to squander Martin's only talent (scoring) by having him stand in the corner or worse suffer through trying to set up others.

Reggie miller is killing me. I'm surprised he can get the spurs schlong out of his mouth long enough to provide commentary.

Reggie Miller has to be one of the worst commentators, no matter who he is covering.

Kev Martin trying hard to match Harden's debut.

Martin is at his best moving off ball and such. Which is why nearly all of his best years were with Adelman.

Will be interesting to see if OKC gets more motion in their offense to make the most of Martin.

Of course you are right, they aren't replacing Harden...no matter what anyone says that can't just simply be replaced.
