Miami is in full on salary dump mode. Probably gets them another $2-3 million in cap space.

Good for OKC for taking advantage, but how is Cook going to play when they already have Harden and Sefolosha

You look for the link and when you find it please post it.

In the meantime I'll celebrate USA's victory by watching this soccer poster.

Heat and Thunder are seriously discussing a trade sending Daequan Cook and 18th pick to OKC for 32nd, source says. More cap space for Heat.

This is getting insane. Money/cap room has become far more of incentive to make a trade than actually getting the best deal.

i dont get it miami i think had the most cap room anyway why even more

whoever they get to go with wade great but they'll still have like no one else on that team to go with them.

cook isnt that good so fine they get rid of him but a first round pick too? that pick could have been a useful bench player

OKC can probably just dump cook/buy him out they probably were given the money by the Heat to do so anyway.

basically jumped from 32 to 18 without having to give up anything

My guess is that they want to make a run at a veteran player if they are able to resign wade and sign a max player.

Edit, I just looked at their salaries.

This gives them room for another Max Player   . Riley is going to try to hit a home run this summer. I think it's stupid to have 3 superstars and a bunch of Vet Min contract players on the team, but I guess more power to Riley if he gets this done. Wow lol.

    LeBron, Wade, Bosh?

Considering they all had trade talks... and Joe Johnson takes a paycut to Vet min.

More like Wade, Johnson, Bosh/Amare. Lebron ain't gonna be in Miami with Wade. His pride is too much.

Still, that would be a nice combo.

Problem for Heat is that most of these MAX FA's will leave in S&T, and they have ZERO assets (cmon son Beasley is not an ASSET, he's the opposite) to offer...
