Awesome f***** series !!! Four Wins and some Stat Pad The 7-game Season Sweep vs Chicago is the most for the Astros vs any opponent in franchise history. Previous record was Six Games -- PHI '05, PHI '04, and MON '01.
Like a 21 year old rookie. He did hit his first ball pretty well, but right into the shift b/t where 1B/2B would normally be.
I was interested in how things have changed since the White Sox swept the Astros 4-0 in the 2005 World Series, and I ended up putting together a graph.
92 games 1998 - 54-38 1999 - 55-37 2013 - 33-59 2017 - 62-30 2018 - 61-31 Game 102 last season marked the latest .667 win percentage ( 68-34 )
And we haven't even looked that great. Feels like mid 90s rockets all over again. A win is always expected.
Good win. I like this lineup..., 1-Bregman 3b 2- Altuve 2b 3- Correa ss 4. Springer cf 5- gurriel 1b 6- reddick rf 7- gattis DH 8- mccann/stassi c 9.- kemp/ tucker lf
Before the last couple of years, that 98 team and the 86 team were my favorite seasons. Could have won it all either year The Mets were not beating Scott in a game 7... yea I know you never know in baseball...but they were not beating Mike Scott The 98 team was the best in baseball, just couldn’t beat Brown The end of those two seasons sure did bother me a lot more before we finally won it all last year...now they are just two great seasons and fun teams
