It seemed like they were sitting on his slider when he had 2 strikes on them. LMC switched it up and threw when he had 1 strike on them to try and get ahead. They figured it out. Hes not going to log many innings if he cant locate his 4 seam on the outer and lower parts of the plate. Everything seemed to be right down the middle.
You've made way too much out of his occasional "inaccurate" throws... reminds me of how everybody was saying Springer was an "awful" outfielder when he came up last year. He does have a cannon... and he's made several accurate throws both this year and last. Its not always going to go right to the plate/base... even the greatest OF arms had some bad throws. Now his bat OTOH... that's something that's growing more and more concerning with every game.
No, I'm not making anything out of anything, just saying he has thrown the ball 597MPH on a rope but it sometimes happens to be 20 feet from the plate. Most of that is practice, getting his feet and body set before he catches the ball. And, btw, Springer was a terrible RFer for the first couple of weeks he was up last year. He got better with time, imagine that!
