Wemby is a top20 player already. And no, I'm not gonna deny his individual impact just because he's playing on an absolute heap of trash team, just because he offended my favorite team on draft lottery night, lmao... Boo hoo. Although I do wonder sometimes, whether some people are butthurt or really have such simplistic understanding of the game.
I think there's a number of people who didn't realize what Wemby did in the month prior to getting his lunch eaten by Sengun (in fairness he was injured prior to the game and then got injured again during the game - but that's life in the NBA) Like basically he's tossing up prime Hakeem performances with casual aplomb ( and the Spurs were winning the minutes he was on the floor and some of the games too). Like, sure, the Spurs record is terrible, and they lost 20 million games in a row back when they went Point Sochan and Shaq Collins twin towersin December. But, now? They're a different team. The Spurs erred I think in the "bring him along slowly" - he's one of the most dominant players in the league now.
Elton Brand went 20/10 as a rookie on a terrible club. He made the playoffs 1 time in his first 12 seasons. Shareef Abdur Rahim, etc it's commony. All that put other people down **** is cool and all, and props to you for being such a G, but you just a Wemby fan. That's cool. I'd care if I was a....Wemby fan.
I can list way more than 10 players that we can drop on any team and they will win more than 13 games, no matter who is on the roster. It's an absurd question and take IMO. You don't have top 10 impact in this league if your team is losing 77% of their games with you. This is the sport where one player makes that much of a difference. If we were talking football or baseball I'd see your point. I don't think it needs to be proven that one player is that impactful in basketball.
