Happens all the time, you just need to get the paper work to the league before the deadline, not have it approved. And the league grants exceptions to the deadline for teams close to making trades. But this deadline is quite boring, given all the hype the last couple weeks.
um..not a big deal: In a three-way trade, Sacramento gets Will Solomon from Toronto ... Toronto gets Patrick O'Bryant from Boston ... and Boston gets a heavily-protected conditional second-round pick from Sacramento. link: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?page=TradeTalkRoundup-090218 check there for new updates, they are still reporting
I'm pretty stunned that neither Sczerbiak or LaFrenz were traded. I would imagine Cleveland fans are absolutely livid right now. That team was just one peice away from being the favorites.
yeah i agree. if anything, i was hoping we traded rafer for a pg who could shoot. the biggest knock on him has always been his inability to sink those jumpers while being left wide open on a consistent basis.
How do the Boston Celtics trade a guy named Patrick O'Bryant? That'd be like the Magic trading someone named Blaine Houdini.
Agreed totally. I just can't decide which team had the bigger brain fart. My gut tells me the Cavs since they're a player away from being serious, but then you think about what exactly a rich owner dangling a massive yet insured contract to a bunch of a penny-pinching owners has to gain by hanging onto a contract like Raef's. I just don't get it.
