i hate how the defense gets penalised on plays like that. It's on the QB he has a clear view of where the defender are and what could happen when you try to squeeze in a pass between 2 defenders.

 

Glad it wasnt called but I just cannot grasp what warrants a hit on a defenseless reciever anymore. Its like the refs dont know either.
