so we won't hear anymore talk of demarcus ware right? who can we compare mario with. kevin greene? levon kirkland? cornelius bennet? i'm just thinking of 3-4 linebackers.

i find it funny that the sports media isn't focasing on this more. mario is the cornerstone of this defense, his transition is crucial

Of course he would say that, why would he throw his own player under the bus... especially during training camp.

he could easily say, "he has some things he has to work and approve on"

I doubt it... this type of message would just get back to Mario and he'd get pissed... and he'd say "WTF I'm the best defensive player on the team, I don't need to hear this shvt from my coaches."

All star players get a shvt load of love and encouragement from their coaches, even Jr. high star players get rubbed up by coaches.

Depth chart is up. Think there are mistakes on defense since Quinn is starting at both SS and CB and KJax is not on the chart at all (which I honestly wouldn't mind ;) ).

Also, Holiday is listed as both our KR and PR.

That's probably an oversight, Kareem is CB2 no doubt.

Shiloh Keo being buried on the depth chart at safety is odd, especially behind guys like Demps, Williams (?), and Barber.

I'm not as shocked as some are to hear about Holliday though, they think he can be a good return man. It's just a shame that the return game is basically neutered with the new kickoff rules.

Who is Darius Morris at RG? Is Caldwell hurt? Kind of strange to see any of last years starters displaced, since they have really started to gel.

Also, is Ben Tate hurt? I thought he would our #1 backup at RB.

And LOL at Antwaun Molden being listed as a 4th stringer....in his 4th year...at the weakest position on the team. When are we finally going to give up on this guy?

He's going to become my new Frank Stallone meme.

Tate is fine. Slaton being #3 is probably just posturing for his trade value

I heard Shiloh has not been looking good at all.

With the new Kickoff rules, i find it hard to believe they will end up with Holliday on the roster since he isn't any better than the current pool of WRs.

I'm sure it's a misprint, but it's funny that Kareem isn't even on the depth chart. 5th string? :)

He's EASILY the fastest player on the roster...

He'll return kickoffs and punts while allowing Kubiak and Dennison the option to be more versatile, creative, and explosive when on the field (rarely) for offense.

It's not like that is our opening day depth chart. It's just an early projection and nothing official.

I do like the names on our 4th string defense though.

    Mister Alexander
    Tim Dobbins
    Scooter Berry

    Too funny :)

no one is doubting his speed. What they doubt is his hands, both returning kicks and receiving, as well as his other contributions. There isn't much room on the roster to have a one trick pony, unless that's one amazing trick, but as of now he hasnt shown to be able to do that.

Also, Manning is a good returner and Jacoby could return to his old form as well (although i tend to not like important starters return kicks).

Point being, it's going to be a up hill battle for Holliday to make it. He's going to have to play exceptional

We need to trade a RB for some LB depth.
