Looked at some of his highlights and I'm impressed. Great great addition.

Things are starting to shape up in a good way.

    Well....

    Luck >>>>> Hoyer/Mallet

    Johnson >>> Shorts

So, no Shorts doesn't have a "good chance"... Possible? Of course ... But not likely.

Great pickup -- Cecil has WR1 potential with a solid QB.

You have such a shallow understanding of the game. I don't think further discussion would help matters but I'll try anyway.

Is Eric Decker a better WR than Andre Johnson?
Did the Jets have better QB play than the Texans last season?

I'll give you the answers because I don't have faith that you can get it right on your own, no he is not and no they did not.

Despite all of that, Eric Decker had a more productive season than Dre did all around...now that probably surprises someone like you, but doesn't surprise me in the least.

Out of all the fan bases in the NFL, Texans fans should not be asking who this guy is.

I honestly never heard of him. I watched all the Jacksonville games. If he is good I am happy.

I was only kidding, I thing he's a great addition to our squad.

I don't understand how that is possible. He's good, but he probably hurt his hammy signing his contract yesterday.

I like him a lot but his stats were padded on a team that always played from behind. He's injury prone. Gauge your expectations folks, he's a low end WR2 at the very best. It's a deep position.

Seems like he'll get beat up for a few games, but it doesn't look like he misses significant time.

You could say the same thing about Andre Johnson early in his career. Or Calvin Johnson. Or any number of WRs on bad teams.

Stats are mostly irrelevant. He should be judged on essentially three things: 1) can he catch; 2) can he create space?; 3) is he fast?

He's not really fast, but he's incredibly quick which allows him to get open.

I think for the Texans, he would be a very good WR3. We just dont have a WR2 yet.

One of the developing themes of the BOB era is versatility; I suspect we'll see these guys line up in a variety of positions - wide, slot; wouldn't shock me to see him in the backfield...

True, Shorts can be moved around, which can be big for us.
