after the ravens score their first Td to make it 13 to 45, dierdork will say something like..."we have a ball game, houston." I always smh when I see a team throw it a gazillion times a game and barely mix in a run. But in a weird turn of events, both schaub and flacco are top 3 in pass attempts, obviously schaub's % is significantly higher. And for the tank gun arm flacco has, he has completed less 20 yard completions than 'noodle arm'. I expect pressure all day on flacco and a 20 to 40 arse kicking by our guys. Ball so hard!
Any word on whether Ray Rice will be playing? His absence would be huge for the Texans. Oh, and Andre's presence.
Rice is still on crutches and Harbaugh isn't going to release his injured list until before game time, but I'd be shocked if he played. He was limping bad even in the boot during the fourth quarter.
....the Dierdorf game....damn. Oh well, can't wait regardless. Will probably be talking more during the game though to cover the audio. Wish it could have been last weeks game when I was at a bar in Fort Worth and they wouldn't play the Texans game audio.....
Well, both teams had to play from behind in their first games. That tends to lead to more passing in attempting a comeback. Flacco attempted 62 passes against Denver. His total was normal against Cleveland and they actually ran more than they passed. Schaub had to throw it 45 times in the comeback win over San Diego. He threw it 48 times against Tennessee, but 14 of those came in the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter after we fell behind by 8. Plus another 6 passes in the OT drive. So with 5 minutes left in the game, Schaub had only attempted 28 passes, which seems normal. When we needed to get our asses in gear, we threw it another 20 times.
whether or not he plays, Reed will be an asset for all the knowledge he brings about the Ravens offense
So you're predicting a loss? Seems hard to fathom given the circumstances. Unless the dude who saw Duane Brown make a sad face in the elevator is onto something...
I think it is a winnable game; the Texans are not going up there to "lay down" before the Super Bowl champions. I look for a very competitive game, likely decided by a field goal. The Ravens don't look like a juggernaut by any means. Neither does New England. Denver appears to be the class of the AFC. One at a time gets you home for the playoffs. SF and Seattle are beatable too.
