He's tried that with Tyler Ervin. McCaffery is special but that will make 4 RBs that play very similarly (Miller, Ervin, and Hunt). McCaffery might end up being the best of the bunch but he's best suited as change of pace to a power runner. I will be okay with him going with someone like Cook, as a Blount-type player.
Yup, if there's one thing that would make this team a winner, it's a QB who was so amazing that he led his college team to 4 wins. So long as the Texans never have to play teams as good as Stanford or North Carolina State, they should be set.
Probably a very good chance. If there were a few good QB's in this class, he'd probably slip to the 3rd round.
He's got size and mobility, but I just was never impressed with him at ND. I wouldn't draft him any higher than this.
Repeat post. I hear you, though. I wouldn't want him in the first. I'd rather have a tackle than Kizer. He could be a good developmental guy, though. He's got the tools. At most, I'd want him as a second round trade up, where we'd only trade up like five spots for him. Problem is, at the point, you may be better off staying put for Webb.
Notable prospects: OT Garrett Boles FS Marcus Williams OG Isaac Asiata OT J.J. Dielman CB Brian Allen OT Sam Tevi
I didn't feel like the renewed Kizer hype deserved a new post when the recycled post was still valid.
Really thought Ervin was a wasted pick. McCaffrey is really fun to watch but outside of Fournette, I'm not looking at a RB in the first 2 rounds.
Guys taken after Ervin: -Dak Prescott -Kenneth Dixon -Devontae Booker -Cardale Jones -Jordan Howard -Paul Perkins -Tyreek Hill
