long hard fought game on a short week, on the road, prime-time (historically they haven't played well), JJ possibly out, Lions are desperate...a lot of negatives on paper. Hopefully the texans can take advantage of their running game and eat up clock to keep the Lions offense off the field. Then be able to take advantage of their secondary
I think the Defense will be pumped up to play after getting 37 hung on them by the Jags. Texans take it 27-13.
I think the Jags helped expose the Texans defense. Key right now to lighting up the Texans is to scheme Watt out of the game and then throw the ball downfield. Rest of the pass rush is really playing subpar and McCain and Jackson are beatable downfield. Texans STILL win, 34-28
Lions have not won a Thanksgiving Classic since Nov. 27, 2003, they are on a 9 game loosing streak. Keep the streak alive!!!
I am eating after the game. Hopefully thanksgiving dinner isn't ruined. JJ, a turkey eating sack dance would be much appreciated.
need at least 4 days in between games for any knocks or lameness to go away. if the texans win this it will be an amazing effort.
11:30AM?? Ahh, that means 9:30AM here in California. Gonna probably end up missing the first half since I have a 5k to run that morning.
Lions are getting the same amount of rest as us (although they didn't play overtime) til Kubiak's Wednesday press conference?
I don't think they really exposed anything that people didn't know. Bad tackling, which is a rarity for this secondary, was what made everything seem so much worse. The Jags run heavy formations did suck in the defense and the texans were gambling with one on one coverage early, but given the QB situation it's hard to blame them.
D-line has to get to the quarterback and create pressure. The games that have been bad for our secondary coincides with our D-line not creating pressure.
the jags played great. they would have easily beaten the majority of teams in the league yesterday. i don't think we played that bad. it was a war. they brought everything they had and left nothing on the field. they played hard, hard, disciplined team football. detroit is an undisciplined mess. i really don't think there is any way they can beat us.
Mark Berman: Gary Kubiak said CB Johnathan Joseph has a strained hamstring, did not work today, and will be a game-time decision for Thursday. Gary Kubiak says RB Ben Tate (hamstring) has a chance to play this week. NT Shaun Cody is "closer" to playing again but Gary Kubiak says he will also be a game-time decision. Gary Kubiak say the Texans are going to feed the team steak and lobster tonight. "Joseph and Dobbins GTD. We'll work Thursday morning and see if they can go."
