We should probably wait until the Doctors look at the injury before jumping to conclusions. Don't trust a guy who said Denver was going to steamroll us. I'm fearing the worst but I'll wait to see.
X-ray's do not show ligaments. Has to be a MRI to show soft tissue, which at the earliest will be done tomorrow. You also will not get any definite confirmation on how long he will be out until the MRI as that would confirm an ACL tear, how bad the ACL tear is, and show any other tears such as MCL or PCL. Any information given now is strictly from physical exam findings. Those are great way to screen a player to see if a player has certain types of tears or injuries, but they will not give you enough information to determine how bad the tear is or point to the length of recovery. Him being able to walk on it off the field leans more to a single ligament tear, and possible only a partial tear. However, the statements being made do not sound good though, especially given how the Texans tend to downplaying injuries initially.
Please for the sake of god dont let this dramatic injury bug start again. Hoping for the best, but it doesn't look to good.
You sound like you have more knowledge than I do about this.. I saw them perform the Lachman test on Cushing and his knee was clearly giving out anteriorly.. Does that confirm an ACL tear or could it be a partial tear or something else?
Look at ESPN's headline right now. "Perfect But It Could Be Better" then an article about how Cushing's injury is going to derail us. We get no love.
I feel awful for Cushing. You could really see the disappointment on his face as he walked off. Great competitor. Hope he gets well soon.
Barwin, it's time. Long as Schaub stays straight up, we can still do this. so much for 16-0 more like 14-2 now.
