I think we got this one. Jacksonville can't stop the run or the pass, so even if Kubiak gives up on the run when it's really working, the Texans should do fine. Also, they have the only kind of receivers that the Texans' secondary match up well against: big, physical, and not very fast.
Jacksonville is near the bottom of the league in passing. Just like Kansas City. And while we didn't look great, Cassell only threw for 200 yards against us which is by and large the least a QB has exposed our secondary. Cap it off that Jacksonville's defense is almost as bad as ours. Like the Kansas City game, I think we pull this one out. Texans - 30 Jaguars - 27 Then we proceed to lose our next 5 games after that.
So what will Kubiak screw up this week, yardage on a big 4th down, running the ball in general or get to cute with his play calling?
we lose in a sticker. Sims-Walker goes for 110 with a TD Garrard has a Season high 330 Yrds passing, 80 rushing and 3 TD's.
Gus Johnson! <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/9joyVtXKS7Y?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/9joyVtXKS7Y?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>
Random team, they win or they get blow out. They were walloped by SD and KC, which were close games for us, edged Colts, and beat down the Cowboys in Dallas. Jags coming off a bye. Mojo isn't torching too many teams (Dallas aside) even though he usually has a solid 4 yds/carry. Sims-Walker and Marcedes Lewis aren't jokes, even if their averages don't amaze you. They win and lose with Garrard: when he plays and is accurate, they win. If not, they lose. 137 rating in their wins, 45 in losses. That's absurd (and a bad omen). Schaub is banged up and not looking great. Mario just isn't the same when nursing an injury. Jackson doesn't always have help over the top, which is mystifying. I'm probably going to miss the game (in SA for a half marathon), that will hopefully bring them luck. I honestly think this is a coin flip.
So when did everybody start loving Gus Johnson? I remember him being hated when people noticed him doing football games.
Same with Shannon Sharpe, I absolutely hated him in 2008. I don't care if it's 3-0 Texans over Jags, just get over .500!
