WOW.. Does anyone here really think that the Knicks project will work?? I would think the Magic are looking to become LIKE the Suns with Darko and Howard now..

I guess Crawford will most likely be going to Denver now. Denver will finally get their SG.
    Denver Starting Line-up
    C- Camby
    PF- Elson/ Najera
    SF- 'Melo
    SG- Crawford
    PG- Miller
With Boykins, Buckner, Watson, and Lenard coming off the bench.
    Ain't half bad IMO

How does that Francis/Mobley/Cato for Tmac/Howard aggregate now? Holy cow.

Francis is traded in a pure salary dump and a bag of chips! This deal looks a lot like the Baron Davis for Dale Davis/Speedy deal from last year.

Great trade for Orlando. They've got their franchise player in Howard and are going to build around him. Bigmen that talented do not come around often. If you don't work with Howard, you don't work with Orlando. And Francis didn't.

They'll have a good pick this year and a lot of cap room after next season when Howards a 20ppg 13rpg superstar. Guys will be flocking there.

Francis is a team offense killer. Sure, his numbers look great, as he doesn't shoot as much as other "star" players and shoots at a decent percentage, but watch him play. He takes FOREVER to make a decision with the ball, having a direct impact on his teammate's numbers when he forces them to take bad shots.

Marbury, on the other hand, despite having gifted passing skills, doesn't "involve" his teammates the way good point guards do. Yes, he does pass to them, but these passes are unanticipated, causing the team to fall out of rythm.

The Knicks are going to be an ugly, ugly team to watch with these two guys. Especially with Eddy Curry, who doesn't know the meaning of pass and puts the ball on the floor every time he touches it.

This is the exact reason why I didn't like how we waived and bought out all of our expiring contracts this summer. Spoon + Baker would have been $10 mill in expiring contracts, you add in Moochie's 4 million and that's just as big as Penny's. Maybe we don't make a trade or anything, but the option would have been really nice.

I disagree. Expiring contracts don't net you anything worthwhile. They get you Jalen Rose, Keith van Horn and, if you throw in an actual player, Steve Francis.

man its gonna be like watching 2 clones play together. TO's, bad passes, bad shots. But they will drive alot into the paint so that'll be fun.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Hedo- he is the only player with a longer term contract? Orlando basically would love to add to its stable of young horses come draft day- and a ton of space to sign a couple of veterans. WoW~ How things change!

I would do Hedo for D Wes.

Hopefully DA and others ( swift) get us something substantial.

They should just clear out and let Steve and Marbury take guys off the dribble. Just do that over and over. Hey, it is a guard's league these days. Plus if they add Cuttino, they can be a team that score's 99% of its points from perimiter isolations.

Isaiah must think he can pull off that KG deal this summer by sending Minny a bunch of max salaried talent.
