Based on the risk associated with even starting a healthy Cam Newton, I think you have to go with the "safe" bet in Palmer (I can't believe I actually typed that).

But I've got Cam as well, and with his injury combined with him going up against a coach known for defense, Cam's proverbial "lack of weapons", I think I play it safe week 1.

Palmer is going to be playing in what people feel could easily turn into a shootout.

Most from what I've read have SD def is ranked towards the back of the league while STL is in the middle. Guess I'll start Palmer as well.

Yea, think I'll sit Cam until he is 100% for sure.

    yes....they were collectively bargained...
yes....Josh Gordon failed a drug test...

    and

    yes.....you should read the news.

Under the "new" drug testing policy, Josh Gordon and Wes Welker wouldn't have been suspended (higher THC threshold, and timing of failed test), so they are going to basically say "under these new rules, these guys would be playing, so if you don't let them play, we won't agree to new testing".

Well judging by how Gordon has acted lately I dont think he has to much faith in playing this year...

if they reach a new deal why would that affect Welker and Gordon? I'm seriously curious, i mean they failed according to the rules and they got punished according to the rules... I mean if they let them play because of the new rules shouldn't they increase Ray Rice's suspension because of the new domestic violence rules?

So with Ellington's uncertainty, I need someone in my flex position. Mike Wallace, Mark Ingram or DeAngelo Williams?

That's tough. Normally, I would definitely say Cincy against a Ray Rice-less Ravens, but I wonder if Kubes could have surprises in store for Cincy.

Washington's D is not great, but our offense... well, I'm pretty sure our offense sucks. Fitzy will probably throw an INT, but maybe Foster might be ready to surprise??

I think I'd give the slight edge to Cincy.

    MY TURN
Standard league, I need to choose 2 of the following:
    Alfred Morris vs HOUSTON
    Pierre Garcon vs HOUSTON
    MJD vs NY JETS
    Steven Jackson vs NEW ORLEANS

I know Morris should be an automatic start, but I feel like our run defense might bottle him up? I think I rather replace him with MJD as the Raiders will probably rely heavily on him to spare young Carr.

Personally I would't trust MJD until I saw a couple of games from him. Had Garcon last year and he is consistent at the WR spot.

CJ2K or Colston, with a slight edge to Colston

Pierce is just a bad football player

Pierce is easily the safest pick of the 3. He'll be the workhorse RB in a Kubiak offense.

    Morris and Garcon.

If they Raiders rely heavily on the run, it'll be between both MJD and McFadden.

I'm torn. Emmanuel Sanders vs. Indy or Ryan Mathews vs. Arizona.

    Help me, Clutchfans. Will rep.

They sure had faith in him, one fumble and benched. Thankfully I went with Vereen.
