That 2005 season. In the books as a sellout but more like 40k in the stands toward the end of the season

Man i wish we could snag big ben from pittsburgh, ive always loved his game (not a fan of him off field though) he has championship experience and hes a somewhat mobile QB with an arm. The thing i like about him is he is very hard to get down on first contact, he hasnt had a decent Oline in years so people think hes declined. Right now would be the perfect time to do it too, but the texans dont have the nuts to do it smh one can wish though
Two mother****ers can't get out of town fast enough. What do you look for in a QB like Matt, is he losing confidence? You're always evaluating everybody, every play they play. I'm looking at a big body of work. I don't see a lack of confidence. Poor-decision making, something he has to handle and we have to help him handle. Every week is a new week. We have to play a talented team in San Francisco. That's the focus right now. I believe in him. He's a strong kid. (Update on Cushing?) Cushing came out with a concussion. He's feeling much better today. He starts the protocol process. Duane is upbeat, feeling good today but still day to day. We'll see. (How close was Duane being able to play?) He couldn't play. He pushed himself to the limit. He just couldn't do it. (Kareem's play?) I don't agree with it(his penalty). I understand the rule(picking someone up), I didn't see it that way. We'll see what the league says. I don't agree with it but not my call. (Concerned about putting yourself in a hole?) Don't get too consumed with where we are. Consumed with how we're playing. It could be worse right now. It could be better. We have to stay focused on the play. Try to keep it in perspective. We're a capable football team. Gotta be a more consistent football team. (Injuries?) We got some bumps and bruises. Brandon Brooks has a toe we're concerned with. Braman, Antonio, J.J. beat up. (On the pick six, could Matt audible?)No. Poor play. (Wade Smith came out of the game.) Took a few snaps off of him. Wade played good in the game. We're concerned with the wear and tear coming back from the knee so quick. (Short leash for Schaub?) He's our QB. We all gotta do things better. (Have you seen the typical level of play Wade Smith plays with early on in the season?) Yeah, Wade has played well. It was our decisions as coaches. (Talk about your D.) Playing extremely well John. They've been impressive. We're a dang good defense, with a chance to be great. We're not a finished product and we're pretty dang good right now. (Arian close to being Arian of lsat year?) Last week in practice I saw the same guy I saw last year. All guys are human. They hear reactions and things going on. Matt and I talked - when you play that position, you'll get a lot of credit and blame. You gotta be tough. He can handle that. That's why he's played as long as he played. (How hard did he take that interception?) Extremely tough. Can't explain it. When you battle that hard, and that happens, emotions are difficult. Glad I do what I do and I can be there for players. I'll be there for him right now. We gotta help him work through this. (What did you say to Matt?) Biggest thing as a coach, you want to let players know you're human and you know how they're feeling. I expressed to him that I felt bad from my own standpoint, the position I put him in. I understand how the guy is feeling. Wanted him to know I'm there for him more than anything. Ben didn't get a carry after the fumble, it wasn't a reflection of that. I have total confidence in Ben. Arian has stepped forward but Ben has done his job. Played extremely well. Antonio is a strong presence. When he speaks, guys listen. He cares so much. It's hard to walk in there yesterday after a game like that. When you give everything you have and don't get it done, its a tough pill to swallow. We're a strong group. We're hurt but we'll rally. (Seahawks knowing the play on the pick six) I would hope they practice our plays. We scout each other. That's part of football. Gotta play through it. Just unfortunate. There's responsibility. The number one thing as coach you owe to your team is to put your team in position to be successful. I don't see it as one player. There were many factors in the 2nd half not closing it out. There is tremendous responsibility. We all have a job to do and responsibility to do our job. This will be Kubiak's undoing. Not empowering his players. You have to be able to adaptable and unpredictable in today's NFL, and we are neither.

But honestly, Schaub's inability to move his damn feet is a huge liability. Wilson was able to make something out of nothing MULTIPLE times in the 3rd and 4th quarter. How many times did we see JJ Watt run after Wilson in the open field and not even touch him? If that was Schaub, then it would have been a throw-away, sack, or potentially a pick-6. We have to be PERFECT to win a superbowl with Schaub. That ain't happening when he is making a **** ton of money in the NFL hardcap league. Period.
Kubiak is part of the problem if he is not letting Schaub audible, but then I would ask why? Is it that he doesn't trust Matt, or that he is a control freak? Both of them are killing the best chance Houston has EVER had of winning a Superbowl - well at least since Bum left. The defense is good enough, as is the offense if it is unshackled and plays to win instead of not to lose. DD
I'd be happy to move substantial picks for Roethlisberger, but both teams are way too conservative even if it makes sense. The Steelers absolutely stink but what Ben's doing with that rag tag group is pretty impressive.
This whole crazy arrangement just won't continue, it just won't. Sooner or latter, the make shift offensive line is going to break down and Schaub is going to be knocked out of the game. Then Yates will get a shot. He is not much more mobile and a la Lenert, he may go down. Then Keenum will get his shot. We shall see. This could happen at any time. Once a mobile QB is in, it will be love at first sight, and the Schaub era will be over.
the knock on him is the TOs.. Big Moments.. Not that he can play or not.. He finds a way to make us lose..
