SCOOT HENDERSON ROUND 1, PICK #3 DRAFTED BY PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS POSITION: G HEIGHT/WEIGHT: 6-2 / 195 lbs SCHOOL/CLUB: G League Ignite COUNTRY: USA STATUS: G League BIRTHDAY: 02/03/2004
If Dame asks out, which he very well may, Portland is gonna have a helluva head start on their rebuild. Still annoyed that their fans got watchable basketball most of the season, then they tanked the last ten games or whatever and landed Scoot out of it. All that talk about punishing Dallas and nobody was complaining about what Portland did. Irritating how Dame's teams always get a free pass from the media. Scoot's going to be a good one. I'd pencil him in for 16, 6, and 4 his rookie season if he gets to start.
He looked incredible out there. Like he was playing on a different speed from everyone else. Mid range game is very solid. This guy is gonna be special.
He kinda has that Greg Oden face going on where he looks 10 years older than he really is. Oden looked 30 years older.
Honestly, right now, I'm beginning to question whether he should have been number 1 pick after watching Wemby play.
I didn't say he definitely should be number 1, my point being Scoot looked very sharp last night and Wemby is going to take time to develop. Scoot looked like he can run a championship offense today, whereas Wemby was getting pushed around and stripped by no name guys, looked slow and was not very sharp on offense although clearly he is going to be a block and altering shots monster.
Blazers say Scoot Henderson will be out for tomorrow's game vs. San Antonio with a right shoulder strain and will be listed as day-to-day going forward.
