Honestly, I was never pumped about his return to the rotation AT ALL. Loved him in the pen, where he excelled last year. And he's a great, fun guy, don't get me wrong. But soft-throwing right-handed starters just don't excite me. Sorry.

I thought McHugh could cover a spot in the rotation for Whitley until June/July. That plan has failed miserably on both ends.

Want to see what Valdez's FIP is. Has to be pretty high considering all these Houdini acts. Puts men on all the time, miraculously escapes most of the time. Still not someone I'd trust routinely, especially against better teams.

    yay solo HRs

And more DPs. Does Duffy have a history of dominating the Astros?

McHugh made KC look like the Dodgers. He's not #3 starter material.

Duffy is good but we're better.

Charlie Morton would look nice right about now.
Take the L and bounce back.

Add Valdez to the list (White and Stassi) that clearly don’t belong at the big league level right now.

His first few games were great though.

    Perhaps he's playing through injury.

Fortunately you can afford to give Colin another couple starts, but if the results are similar it’s time to cut the cord on starting. But he can probably still be successful out of the bullpen.

He was the #1 or 2 prospect in baseball. Oops.

    Couldn't find a good 1B (Reed), so...

Mark Bailey was never good enough to fail.

It was thought at one time that he would unseat Ashby as the starter. Thats how I remember 1983/84 anyway lol

Edit: just looked him up. He actually did kinda unseat Ashby for 2 years. 1984 and 1985. Weird. He had over 300 at bats and appeared in over 100 games in both seasons.
