    He's going to have to.

When the Royals are making contact, everything seems to be hit hard.

Grossman is my least favorite Astro. He needs to go back to AAA. I heard he had alcohol problems with the Pirates and it got him into trouble. I sure am glad we have him on our team......in other news JD Martinez has 5 HR and 14 RBI already for Toledo. Haha

The Astros sent out a starting lineup with 7 of the 9 batters hitting below .200 and now have a pitcher on the mound with an ERA over 10. They are not even making an effort to win. Jim Crane's honeymoon period is done. Put some talent on the field, even if they're young. There is absolutely no excuse for Springer and others to be in the minors.

    You all stop it.

We all know Harrell needs a little time to figure it out. Give him time!

And we all know the kids need a little more time in minor league ball. Plus the money being saved, it'll be put to good use later!

LOLOLOLOL who the hell am I kidding?

Keep fighting the good fight Nick. ;) [IMG]

Can we finally fire the hitting coach??!!?!! This is getting ridiculous. At least get someone with a new/different hitting philosophy to drill in their heads. It may not work but something has to be done and someone has to take the blame. You can't send the whole lineup down to AAA...or can you ;)

Who cares what JD does in the minors? I hope it all works out for him, but his slow bat speed really limited him in the majors.

They had a plan a few years ago of how to rebuild. It's going exactly as was planned. Maybe it will succeed, maybe it will fail. The team was a total disaster and required being burned down and rebuilt from scratch - there was no strategy that was going to make the team good quickly, or at least not on e that would be sustainable in any way. Everyone knew this was part of the process from the start. It seems odd to b**** now about something that is going exactly as was intended.

Some people view baseball in the same light at basketball or football. Those people will never understand that building a team is completely different in baseball. There is nothing you can do to explain it to them

    no freaking DUH.

i have been on board with tanking to rebuild the farm. in fact, i lead the charge.

but, i cannot get behind holding prospects back. especially after offering him a BS extension.

I should've realized he'd been hit in the head.

What BS extension? Can you name a larger one ever offered to a player with no MLB time?

And really, holding back a prospect for 3 extra months is the cause for all this anger? The earliest he would realistically have come up is September last year. Instead, he'll come up in June. Is that really that horribly terrible? He's been at AAA for all of half a season. He'll come up at the same age as Berkman permanently came up after a similar minor league career. (Berkman did come up in a September callup during a playoff run in a different financial environment before going back to AAA the following yet)
