just enjoy tejada's hitting while we have it. we know he'll come back down to earth, so just ride the hot streak while its ongoing.
Oh, I'm enjoying it. I just happened to be looking at his stats when you made that comment about Bourn walking. Tejada is on a hitting tear.
i'll give you that. i know he'll come back to earth, you just have to hope we've traded him before it happens.
Not a great game so far for Hunter... should have made that catch. Hopefully it doesn't cost us. That has been the only real criticism I've heard about Hunter's defense so far in his career. His lateral range is incredible but his vertical reads aren't always very sharp. I'm not sure if that was the case there or if it's been much of a problem for him this year. I know it was early last season.
Speaking of guys that rarely walk, I present to you Humberto Quintero. The only guy that was worse in recent years was Reggie Abercrombie. That dude could have been an outstanding ML player with a little more plate discipline. He has pretty much every other tool. I'm not counting Jason Smith since he only lasted a few weeks.
This is the Bourn as a leadoff hitter we hope to see a lot more regularly. Walking, stealing bases, stretching out hits...
is it just me or have we had 4 quality starts in the last 5 games? i like it. see how much better the team looks when the starting pitching isn't garbage.
Word. On a side note, there should be a warning sign for people sitting along the first base line at MMP that reads: Beware of pumas and flying bats!
If I heard correctly, the Astros haven't come back from behind to win when trailing after the 6th inning the last 30 times they've been in that situation. That's the longest streak in all of baseball. Does it end right here?
