I saw this on the Forum page and it just said "OFFICIAL: Rockets trade.." and I thought it was going down

Sources tell me that Rockets are looking to make a move for a potential contributor. This trade will involve us giving up assets.

Only 3 teams (Utah, Portland and Philly) are under the soft cap while the Rockets are against the hard cap. Most teams are also capped out and have no non-guaranteed contracts to dump to make room for multiple players coming back in return. Most teams don't care to trade expiring contracts, like Joe Johnson, because they still won't be better than Cavs in the East or the Warriors in the West.....thus they will just let the season end and look forward to that money coming off the books at seasons end. Much harder for teams to make trades this deadline.....difficult....but not impossible.
