Cole hasn’t been quite as sharp the last few times out. The stuff is still nasty but not quite the same command.

 

Did you really expect him to be Bob Gibson all season?

 

Screw fundamentals... it’s all about pine tar, strikeouts and starting games with relievers.

 

I’ll say this... with his stuff it wouldn’t shock me if he won a Cy Young. Even that homer by Martinez was on a 99 mph fastball moving up.
