You’re the one whining about him. It’s a 5 game sample size and he’s 4-0 in it. It’s not worth your time complaining about. Should we find a random Verlander 5 game stretch?
If you are an ERA fan, he has been lights out for Astros until today. If you are a fan of more advanced stats, he's struggled for Astros until today.
Whining? Not close pal you just make **** up. Read my ****ing posts again if you struggle with comprehension. Also, he pitched like **** today. If he pitches like **** again I’ll say it then too. Whining? gtfo
I’ve said it’s been good results but even Blummer and TK mentioned today the number of baserunners he’s been allowing on the bases.
Yes, but today he got 8 Ks and only walked 1 batter. If you are care about results, he's been great until today. If you care about how well he pitched, he pitched great today and you shouldn't be b****ing.
Welp. I Was trying to give you a way out of your stupidity. Impossible. You lost the argument anyway. Carry on dumb ass.
Oh he definitely struggled today. K/bb ratio not the story today. He did give up 2 home runs and was hit hard. Did not look good today. Also, this isn’t “b****ing”. He pitched poorly.
Sure if by great you mean 5 earned runs in less than 6 innings with 2 hrs. Your definition of great is my definition of ok. Btw I’m not b****ing I’m just discussing.
Ok. You’re trying to have both sides of the argument and failing miserably. Joe Joe explained it very simply for you. Greinke hasn’t pitched up to his standards but the results have been successful. All in all “struggled” as an Astros is probably not the word I would use.
Sure and that’s a fine opinion that he struggled today or was just ok. But what do we say about his previous 4 starts where he went 4-0 with a 2.30 era? Also a struggle? We can’t use two different criteria.
No. It’s much simpler than that. I said he’s not been himself and has even struggled a bit. You said “tough room” when someone mentioned he was a hall of famer. You imply that there is nothing different or worth mentioning and now you say he hasn’t been himself. Clearly you are trying to play both sides while I have stuck to what i said. Btw, you are failing miserably. And I don’t agree with what jo jo said
Zack Greinke WAR last 3 years 5.7, 4.2 and 4.5 this year with Arizona 0.4 in first 4 starts (before today) with houston . There’s a difference so far. Yes, like I stated before, I do think he will improve. Edit: batting average against Greinke last 3 years .230, .231, .220 this year w/ariz .276 in first 4 games with houston It’s pretty glaring
