The unexplained absence of Pepé Le Pew has been disturbing to insiders at comicon and within the industry, but I think today, we're seeing signs that he may be ready go to the big screen.
Lance gets plenty of flack for his lack of work ethic (when he was putting up HOF numbers here) as well as his persona beliefs' views... but somebody would have to highlight specific examples of him doing dumb **** on the baseball field when he was playing here.
Wasn't there one time he broke his rib and then blamed his masseuse? Or was that Correa? I get those two confused.
Its an equally confusing phenomenon. I get the issues people have with Lance... naturally talent enough (without work) to be a HOF caliber player. Then he lets himself go, which leads to a decline, then gets motivated again to get in shape and plays at a HOF level again. Then again, that same track could be said for a lot of players... hell, everyday folks probably all know somebody like this. He wasn't the type of guy who routinely made WTF decisions on the field though... Altuve's gaffs have to be attributable to another category altogether.
Andre Agassi Charles Barkley The 'god given talent alone' example pervades throughout all sports. I know you know more of the baseball equivalents... Berkman is the first/foremost that comes to mind in Astros history. Nuke LaLoush?
Barkley? When was his mid-career decline? I'll trust you on Agassi, as I don't really give a **** about this topic.
He declined towards the end of his Philly tenure... then wins an MVP in Phoenix. You're right... he probably didn't change much, but was certainly playing more "motivated".
