Devo may appear in more games this season but he's not on pace to eclipse his innings pitched or total pitches by crazy amounts. 2016 IP/Total Pitches - 108.1/1577 2017 IP/Total Pitches - 38.0/561 Hopefully the starting pitching staff gets healthy and we add a piece or two. If that happens then I suspect Devo will see his usage drop a bit to save him for the playoffs. If our starting pitching doesn't get healthy then we're likely screwed regardless.
yeah but pitchers warm up in the bullpen and throw alot more pitches then whats just recorded offically. he cant be in every other game, hes going run out of gas plain and simple
I hate seeing the offense revert back to its typical game of 2016. Hopefully it's just Darvish being Darvish and not the beginning of an extended slump
Im here, just been eating and then cleaning. Need to keep myself buys lest I sit here and watch us be 1-hit by a **** team, at home no less.
Yuli should have stayed on first, likely would have got him. He was the last one to move toward the ball there.
He's learning, but damn, he is frustrating to watch try and play 1B. He just doesn't have the instincts or the repetition muscle-memory at all. ETA: let this be a lesson for all the people who say "stick him at 1B, he can't be that bad..."
