I would think Darvish would be a good comp for Kazmir. Intradivision team. Similar stats. GM for one was played by Pitt, the other one plays in the pits.
Yeah, though I would argue significantly better track record (despite also having a lost year recently). If we were to rank likely available pitchers, Kazmir would be well-behind the usual suspects.
Is there any doubt the club needs help? What? Its mind boggling to me the question even needs asking.
3.5 years prior to deadline looks like careers very similar as Darvish is at 7.7 WAR and Kazmir was at 8.1 with both missing a season. Kazmir had the slightly better numbers closer to trade deadline and Darvish will likely have slightly more WAR over the 3.5 years prior to trade deadline. Kazmir's only hang up was concerns he couldn't hold up which proved to be true. He would not be ahead of Darvish, but it is close enough for a comp.
This team is horrendous at base running year after year. They have to make some staff changes, this is ludicrous.
