Call them all up. What we are seeing right now is not baseball. It's tragically bad. We have a guy in the lineup batting under .119, Seriously. And that is acceptable? Pinch runner ok. Playing Major league centerfield, no. But even worse, most of the lineup is equally as bad.
I expect Kemp to take over in left and watch Rasmus go to Center. Changes do need to be made. Gattis at catcher seemed to work. Anything to get more production. Bregman would do wonders for this team. I expect Luhnow to do something big soon. Getting swept by the Rangers at home? No. No. And No. Heck No. Unacceptable.
I would take the Rangers Mazara over Springer. Mazara younger and looks better at the plate with solid defense.
Why Davenski to the bullpen, lets see how good he can be as a starter, is not like we are going to win many this year.
They are going to need to update that "10 reasons why we should hate the Rangers" article over at the chron website to nclude they seriously beat our asses in the game of baseball.
Why hate the Rangers? They are just BETTER than us. Lets not hate, why not IMPROVE AND WIN? Rivalry? What rivalry? They just kick our behind each series. They don't see us as rivals, they only pity us. For them Blue Jays are rivals. Now the M's. The Astros? Well, they are just worse team in our division right now.
The Astros overachieved last year. And now people are expecting too much out of them this year, and the players are putting too much pressure on themselves. The only legit good player the Astros have is Altuve. That's it. But even Altuve isn't a star-caliber player. Everyone else, including Correa and Springer, is mediocre to bad. 97-98% of the team is a bunch of "AAAA" players, not true major leaguers. Correa and Springer may eventually become good players after a couple more years (they're young after all), but right now they are overrated. As for Keuchel, I'm sick of him and his beard. Bench his ass for a few weeks. If he's going through some secret personal problems, he can use those several weeks to work that out. Make up an "injury" (like I suspect they did with Gomez) to get him on the DL. Whatever. The guy is a fradulent "ace". The Astros haven't had a true ace since the days of Clemens and Oswalt. True aces have dominant and overpowering stuff that can get you out even when you're expecting it, and Keuchel doesn't have that stuff. Therefore it was only a matter of time before opponents figured him out. This season apparently was that time.
