Again i have problems with Hinch lineup. I do agree we need Tucker playing today, because Gallardo struggles with lefties, but i believe Marisnick and his defense at CF is needed. I would sit on this game Gattis. My lineup would be: 1. Springer 2. Correa 3. Altuve 4. Rasmus 5. Lowrie 6. Tucker 7. Valbuena 8. Castro 9. Marisnick Yes, we have 3 lefties in a row, but Valbuena will be pinch hit for late if they bring a lefty with Marwin, same with Tucker and Gattis. Only reason i would sit Gattis is because Gallardo really struggles with lefties, and we need better defense at CF as Kazmir is even with ground balls and fly ball outs. Still, WE SHOULD WIN THIS GAME. Hinch, don't be afraid on using VV late, he will deliver. Don't be afraid on using him vs a lefty not named Fielder, he has a very good change up. Michael Feliz, well, he has not pitched at all, shame on you Hinch, this guy is good.
Basically a must sweep situation if we have any chance of taking the division. We still do have a really good shot a the wild card game, so taking 2 out of 3 won't be a terrible result either. Nobody wants to be in that game, but being in a one game playoff is a hell of a lot better than being out altogether.
I'm sure Luhnow is ready to hire you immediately. Your baseball vision fits his analytics perfectly and you are so much smarter than the hinchster Thank you for posting, if only you owned the team we wouldn't be so horrible
Sweep and we have great shot at division, 2 of 3 likely puts us in great spot for wildcard Kazmir needs to prove his worth tonight
Dear Astros, it's not about hugging trees, or being wasteful neither, you gotta find that balance, by taking care of yourself it takes care or more than just yourself. That's the sweet spot.
We have 6 road games after this, based on how the rest of the season has gone, I consider this a must sweep series for not just the division but very likely the wild card as well.
So if Keuchel is pitching Sunday, then 5 days rest would give him another start Oct. 3 @ ARI, the second to last game of the season. But then the WC game is on Oct. 6 so he either doesn't pitch in the WC game, or Sunday is his last start in the reg. season. The problem is, we probably need him on Oct. 3 to clinch a playoff spot at that point.
we should go to a two pitcher rotation for the 9 games left. granted, it hasn't been done since the late 1800s but we're desperate to get into the playoffs. =) maybe hinch would go for it! since you know, we all put our gripes with his lineups.
That did surprise me when I looked at it earlier today. I'm happy, that means I'll get to watch these on my phone when I'm out.
