Man, I can't wait until Obie's back, although he did get rocked in AAA the other day. No disrespect to Deduno, it just feels like him and Hernandez are living on borrowed time (as a starter re: Deduno).
Obviously he is, and no. He's healthy again, and he had a good spring, particularly striking guys out. Hopefully we'll draw a lot of walks.
I always thought Wandy was such an underrated pitcher when he was with us. Same with Bud Norris. Both were pretty reliable when it came to getting quality starts.
Just checked my Uverse TV guide...it has the Astros on 1758. Is there not a local broadcast of tonight's Rockets game?
We could use a better platoon option for Rasmus. Here's tonight's lineup: 1. Jose Altuve (R) 2B 2. Luis Valbuena (L) 3B 3. George Springer (R) RF 4. Evan Gattis (R) DH 5. Chris Carter (R) 1B 6. Marwin Gonzalez (S) SS 7. Jake Marisnick (R) CF 8. Hank Conger (S) C 9. Robbie Grossman (S) LF
If Singleton was performing as expected, I'd be ok with seeing occasional Gattis in LF at MMP only games. However, with nobody knowing if he's close or not, Grossman will continue to get enough starts to hopefully provide something of value.
How long until Marisnick is batting 2nd? Just put him there wtf, how much are you really expecting out of Valbuena.
