I think this game is going to be a cakewalk, and I don't think that is necessarily a good thing. The Rams offense is just downright pathetic. They can't move the ball. Our defense is going to have a field day with the way they've been playing. If our offense can put up even 13 points we should win, and we shouldn't have to take any big risks that put Schaub in difficult positions to have to make tough throws. We SHOULD come out and put up 30+ points and win convincingly, but knowing Kubiak we'll get a 10 point lead and end up winning 20-6 or 20-13 or something like that. I'd like to see us go full throttle and build confidence going into that Kansas City game because that and the Indy game are going to make or break our chances this season (both direct playoff competitors).
Vince Young hasn't been able to make it with the Eagles, Bills, or Packers as a back up over the last 3 years. Think about that. The Packers cut him this preseason and signed Seneca Wallace sight unseen as their backup. He couldn't beat out Ryan Fitzpatrick. Yes, he absolutely could play worse than Schaub, Keenum, or Yates.

The chance at captured magic is fun thought and the reality is at 2-5 they wouldnt be going anywhere anyway. why not take a chance at some magic and history? Once you get to 2-5 the thought heads over towards tanking anyway. Starting VY when we are down 2-5 would be the most interesting 2-5 team Ive ever seen. Chances are we win this weekend and conserviak keeps it as is through end of season. That would be classic conserviak and mcnair is golden and could give a crap as long as he has those sell outs and that parking prices going up up up. We don't make the playoffs with schaub or get lit up by CBs anyway whether we get there or not. Anything worse with VY is fine since it is a half year experiment and if we lose with VY who cares anyway? You are talking about bad QB play when really it cant be any worse. Schaub set record in NFL all time for most pick 6s in a row stretch. Im predicting 6-10 or 7-9 anyway so I already view this team as a lost joke. 2-3 is only 1 game off .500 and not panic mode normaly but we all already know what we get in schaub. They can still make the playoffs as is and even with schaub... but for what? At least with VY he cant throw it any worse and he can even do that lame ass bootleg and actually run. I know its not going to happen with conserviak and bob mccheap but when you are desperate at 2-5 with nothing left not much of any move is anything other than desperation.
And he HAS played worse than Schaub and Yates. His career QB rating is below both of theirs. If the season is over and we want to try and make it interesting, I'd much rather go with a 25 year old Case Keenum who's already on the roster and knows the system than a 30 year old Vince Young who can't even make an NFL practice squad.
I like your idea if we are 2-5 then we might as well sign VY off the street to start for us...that would guarantee us to be 2-14 and get us the #1 pick and a franchise QB.

Remember the days of when he would try to out-Kubiak himself? I think he will be confident enough that his game script will try to showcase Schaub by throwing 30 times. Cause he's a good kid, and he needs to work on a few thing and get in a rhythm.
Well I got some good news... I got a call from my dad and he asks me what am I doing on Sunday. Hmm watching the Texans game. So he told me I got 3 free tickets to the "pick 6" game..lol. I was like what! Yup he said he has tickets to section 345 row e club level seats. I was like sweeeeeeeeet! So I am pretty excited to go to my first Texans game because I have never been to Reliant stadium! Hopefully my boy Foster will run up and down on their defense. I hope Schaub plays his first clean game of the season. Because if he throws a pick 6 I am going to boo him until he gets benched.

The truth of the matter is this is early in the season and we’re learning from it. When we played Houston (in the 2011 playoffs) when I was with Baltimore, I made a comment that Joe was rattled. The fact of the matter was he was. We were as a defense as well. If you go back and watch that game, when I made that comment, I also said I was rattled because on that first play, if T.J. (Yates) doesn’t throw that ball to Andre (Johnson) and sees Kevin Walter, if I’m not mistaken, in the end zone wide open, it would’ve been a touchdown and different ballgame. I see the same situation and I told Matt, me and Matt talked about it a good bit. Though his situation is a little different with fans and everything, that’s a little overboard because at the end of the day, this is just a game. If someone is representing your home team, you’ve got to love them through thick and thin. I’m a fan of sports as well. When somebody is doing bad, I know fans hurt like we hurt when we lose games, but no one hurts like the person who is going through it. You can never compare it to the pain that they’re going through when something happens, man, like losing someone. It’s like how do you answer, how do you comment on that? It’s always tough for all of us to comment on somebody when they’ve lost someone because you’re just not feeling their pain though you have lost someone. But at that particular time, it’s hard to relate.” (on what changes will allow them to grow and get back where they want to be) “It doesn’t mean major change, but it does mean change. It’s a time when me, myself, I looked at myself. How can Ed get better? How can Ed be better for the team’s sake and as an individual? It’s mirror-time for each individual. That’s why they say football is the game of life, sports is a game of life. We experience that all in one year. You can’t stay the same going through what we’ve been going through saying this is going to work. Yeah, it’s going to work, some things that you do, but you have to change some things.” (on how important was the increased physicality and pace of today’s practice) “That goes back to the last question about change. Coach came and spoke to us. We, as individuals, talk amongst each other and took a different approach to how we practice and really it was just taking things to another level. We didn’t have to change much, because we feel we were practicing good and doing things a certain way. At the same time, how can you get better? There is always room for improvement. When you go through ups and downs, good or bad, how do you learn from it? You have to learn from your situations that you go through in life. That’s what it’s about, it’s about lessons. How do you take those lessons? Do you take those lessons and fall down? Do you take those lessons and grow from it? A good team is going to grow from their mistakes.” (on the importance of sticking together when going through tough times as a team) “We understand that this is a season. We understand that we’re right where we need to be. We’re right where we’re supposed to be for a reason. We’re still focused on a task at hand, and we know what that goal is. That goal is to win as many games as we can, get in the playoffs and be on the same track as every other team that wants to be come January. The playoffs, and playing for an invitation to the big dance, they only let 12 teams in. We’re playing for that opportunity, but right now we focus on St. Louis. This game is a loose loose situation for Texan fans. If Schaub does crappy it forces Kubiak's hand into benching Schaub which is a good thing but we still loose to the Rams. If Schaub does decent Kubiak will stick with Schaub and Schaub fans will come out if their hibernation chambers and say"look he's good" ignoring the fact that we played the Rams. Best Cass scenerio is Schaub does poorly but we manage to win on the Defense's back.
