I highly doubt that...very few people in the country thought the Raiders would win. 2 crap offenses, but one of them has an elite defense. Very hard to see the Raiders winning.
Yeah but you are trying to put logic in the mix, when it comes to "Texans fans" that goes out the window. The only thing that matters is a sad sack mentality. Even if we win, we lose, that type of thing.
There was a good amount of people who thought the Raiders would win (ESPN poll had the public on Raiders and the analysts were kinda split). I'm pretty sure a majority of Texans fans thought we were going to win though...
That's Raider nation with the influence on that espn poll. The public was heavily on texans moneyline spread.
This although I'm getting a bit of a chuckle at the overreaction to this win because all things considered, the Texans had the advantage even with Osweiler at QB. When you are facing a 3rd string QB making his 1st NFL start in a playoff game against a defense ranked no. 1, then your team should be favored. The game went down pretty much the way I expected. The Texans defense totally confused Cook making him hesitate and make mistakes. It was obvious from the start that the pace of play was too fast for him given his complete lack of playing experience. This enabled Crennel to crank up the pressure with blitzes because they were facing a QB who could not make them pay for doing so. With the defense smothering the Raiders, the offense was able to do just enough to put the game out of reach. Now this strategy may work against the Raiders with a Connor Cook but if they are facing Brady and NE next week, it will be a different matter altogether. We'll know who they face later today but that's a discussion for next week.
Annihilated no, But lose because Brock yes. He was okay in the game made no mistakes and a few big plays. I never expected them to dominate the Raiders the way they did though
I have a playoff question, regarding the Texans. We're playing NE in the next round right? http://www.sbnation.com/a/nfl-playoff-bracket-2017 Why does that say TBD while seahawks/falcons game is set? Aren't we the worst surviving seed? Texans are 9-7. Steelers are 11-5 and Dolphins are 10-6, at worst those teams would be 11-6 or 10-7, which would be better than the Texans 9-7 Am i missing something?
Seeding, not records dictates who plays NE. Texans are the 4th seed due to winning the division. Miami is the 6th seed and if they win today then they play NE next weekend.
LOL I don't think any texans fans were saying we will get annihilated. Lose, yes. But how can you blame Texan fans for not being confident about a W, considering all the BS we've seen happen in games.
Yep and if Reader plays like that next weekend that'll be huge. The DLine must dominate and the offense has to keep playing mistake free football which isn't a new revelation to us to stay in the ball game against new england or the chiefs....but DJ Reader is definitely a REVELATION this year tho. The guy is just immovable and now he's throwing lineman around like rag dolls
Some people just love complaining about things. even going as far as exaggerating what actually happened just so they can whine about it more.
