    Yankees are reportedly in talks with several teams, they aren't sleeping at all.
    Think Fisher and a throw-in nets us Wheeler (rental)?

    They lost 12-0 to Toronto and now 14-2 to the Pirates in the last 2 out of 3 games at home. Total embarrassing

    True. Ideally, if we can pay a rental price, and then extend (or re-sign), that's optimal.
    And, sounds like Luhnow's comments implied he was only looking for one addition, but you never know what tricks he has up his sleeve. I agree, two arms: one starter and one reliever, is what we need. I'll take either Smith or Watson from SF, those are my first choice(s). I'm sure there's plenty of others, but those two stick out for several reasons.

    In August of 2017, the team went 11-17 in August.
    It's clear they're overwhelmed when they're down 5 runs before they can even breathe
    Luhnow knows what needs to be done.
    As to the Rangers being 5.5 back, didn't people want more competition.
