Whew. At least this team won't have the worst month in MLB history.

 

Amazing thing is we only need 9 wins to match the 2003 Tigers. Makes me realize just how terrible that team was.

MLB should start giving us double runs. Would make our games a lot more exciting.

 

How about the opposing team doesn't get to bat until.... say, the 4th or the 5th inning?

So we are just wrtiting off Jed Lowrie now? Even after his slump Jed Lowrie still has the 4th best WAR for a SS in baseball.

 

I'll be very surprised if Lowrie is on this team next year at this time.

 

Jed Lowrie is one of my 5 bench guys. When you can't stay healthy for even 100 games, you can't be a long-term starter. This is the 4th consecutive year Lowrie has missed a large amount of games do to injury. He hasn't played 90 games since 2008 (though he is likely to do it this season, but good chance he doesn't get to 100).
