One of my all time favorite Rockets - sad to see him go...but this is Chris Paul we are talking about here.
One of my favorite Rockets of all time. Hope he has a great time in LA and anywhere else that follows
One of my favorite all time Rockets. The guy worked hard every second he was on the court. He deserves the best and I wish him the best and maybe he comes back to Rockets some day.
Great hustle guy who belongs in the pantheon of recent fan favorites (Carl Landry, Luis Scola, Chuck Hayes, Patrick Beverley)
Bev was great as a Rocket. Proud to see him get the recognition he deserves with first team all defense. Will miss his heart and grit.
Definitely one of my all time favorite Rockets players. Morey did an amazing job finding him. Our staff did a great job developing him. And Morey did a really great job for cashing in at his absolute highest value. My second favorite rocket on the team for the last several years. He will be very missed.
I don't have any words to express my great appreciation of this fantastic man. He was our heart and soul. I'm going to miss you very much Patrick Beverely. You will always be only a Houston Rocket to me, and my second favorite Rocket next to Hakeem Olajuwon.
My love for Bev is real. I know he'll succeed in LAC cuz that's what he does. I'm also very relieved he isn't going to Utah.
He's worked hard to become the player he is now. How could you not like that? I will definitely be keeping a eye on Pat for the rest of his career.
Pat - I have nothing but love for this guy. Scrapped his way up from nothing and became a valuable starter, beating out two guys with higher profiles and bigger contracts who were supposed to keep him on the bench (three if you count EGo, which I don't). Universally loved by his teammates and always gave the love back to the fans. Underpaid literally every season of his career with the Rockets and never b****ed and moaned about it. Mr. 94 Feet will succeed with any team in the NBA - but I hope to see him back in Rockets red someday when the time is right. Houston won't forget the Wolverine.
I know a lot of us (probably me included in a previous post) have called Beverley the heart of this team, but when I think about it some, it feels more accurate to call him the "guts" of the Rockets. I can't think of a more fearless player in the league, and the Rockets are going to miss him terribly. Even though it won't happen in Houston, I hope Bev one day joins Chuck Hayes in the "most improbable triple-double" club because players like him deserve at least one night where all their intangibles materialize into hard stats. I wish him nothing but wild success wherever he plays.
