This will be a closer game. all Texans games will be close. When they’re losing, they’ll come back. When they’re winning, they’ll give up points. not ideal, could be worse, be entertained... or go argue semantics about how the clowney deal was somewhat botched... despite Mercilus now getting to play at an all pro level as a result.
Game plan offense means ground and pound this week IMO. Panthers have a legitimately good pass defense, so I'm expecting the Texans to try and establish the run.
I understand that there’s hype around Kyle Allen, but he did that on a very bad Arizona team. Their secondary is worse than ours and they don’t have a pass rush. Our pass rush will get him uncomfortable if they play like they did against the chargers. The key will as always be how the line protects Deshaun, and the trend is that they’re getting much better at that. I think this one isn’t as close and the home crowd helps them out. Texans 31 - Panthers 14
Had them going 12-4 if things broke their way so they can't lose a game like this . Texans win 35 to 14. That whoore Lis Franc strikes again. Cam Newton, 6-8 weeks. We're still waiting for Schaubie to return, even 9 weeks would have had him ready to go vs the Ravens
The Texans have an uncanny ability to make rookies and journeymen QBs look awesome. I'd almost rather face Newton.
Agree on the first part, but disagree on the second. Cam would have likely broken contain and been a real problem if he was healthy and running.
Bill O'Brien said Texans promoted Tyrell Adams to active roster, Senio Kelemete to injured reserve, Chad Hansen to practice squad, Tyron Johnson released from practice squad Texans also signed Christian DiLauro to practice squad
Panthers play with the 2nd fastest pace in the league. If there were ever a game where the defense could learn to make mid-drive adjustments, like helping a cornerback who's being picked on, it's gotta be this game.
I believe the Texans offense will finally round in to Watson rookie year pre injury form. At least i hope. We finally saw it against LAC but really we saw it against New Orleans
