antics is a bit of a strong word. The things i've seen him do have been light and harmlessly silly. I'm sure his teammates don't really care that much...after all, it's not like these guys are at home reading the bible and knitting.
You have a very low threshold for what's considered b****ing and whining if something like "take it down a notch" offends you so much. ETA: antics is harsh? Sounds like you're the one who needs to sack up, ma'am.
antic noun an·tic \ˈan-tik\ Definition of ANTIC 1 : an attention-drawing often wildly playful or funny act or action
First, you're right, i do have a low threshold for stupid and senseless complaining. Second, I wasn't offended. Third, my point was that the word "antics" doesn't properly categorize because it usually has a negative connotation. I'm merely trying to be accurate. Fourth. Spoiler
I seriously doubt any of Watt's teammates have a problem with his "antics" and won't so long as he is the best defensive football player on the planet. Now if his work ethic or play falls off as a result of those distractions.....well that'll be different.
Exactly. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that all his teammates and coaches are pretty glad he's on their team. Fans too.
I think it's naive to believe that his teammates care about him having a bit of fun during the off-season. If he was doing this stuff during the year, that might be something, but who cares what he does on his vacation?
It's not just his vacation time. 1. At some point you get tired of being asked questions about JJ 2. When a DL is taking touches away from your WRs and TE, they do care 3. As long as he's playing at a very high level and the team is winning, no one will care as much. The moment those go away, you'll start hearing the rumblings
1. Any time you play on a team with a legit MVP candidate....you get asked about them. Do you think Packers players secretly resent Aaron Rodgers because they get asked about him a lot? 2. When a DL is scoring touchdowns and helping your team win games....do they really care THAT much? If they do, they are garbage teammates that probably shouldn't be around. 3. Yeah, that's what I said. So long as what he does while on vacation doesn't affect his play on the field then no one will care.
