No to mention wilfork destroys people on the field. Nix, per coaches, didn't have one full practice that could be considered good. Wilfork, on the other hand is also a former all-pro, 5 time probowler and 4 time second team all-pro. I'd say his shape, for what he does, has been pretty exceptional. Maybe Vince doesn't have much left in the tank but trying to disparage Wilfork while trying to somehow prop up Nix at this point is ridiculous.
It's June 3, and they haven't even put pads on yet. Let's not start crowning anybody just yet. Remember all the glowing reviews Dorin Dickerson would get during OTAs?? It's a completely different game when guys are wearing pads, and flying around.
Well, if the past is any indication, a solid portion of the "fanbase" are going to start predicting 4 win seasons and start rooting for the Colts or Vikings.....only to show back up later when the Texans start winning and pretend like they were always on board.
And you will be right on time complaining about them in every thread in between your anti-Andre and anti-Teddy posts.
Bad fans should be called out for being bad fans. A few years back we had Lin fans in the GARM, now we have Teddy fans and Andre fans in the Texans forum doing the exact same thing.
So were do we define "bad fans"? Is there a list somewhere on the internet? a wiki page or is it urban dictionary? lol No way you can compare LOF to the Andre Johnson only fans or Teddy Bridgewater fans. I haven't seen anyone on here who is a fan of Andre Johnson or Teddy Bridgewater only. Seems like you're trying too hard to fight something that doesn't really exist.
I'm not really fighting anything, just calling people out for being bad fans. Anyway it doesn't matter, as soon as the Texans start winning the bad fans will be back pretending they were always down.....then if they start losing they'll be back off the bandwagon. It's really no big deal, sure they are an annoyance, but it's not like anyone takes them seriously.
What's the word with Jaelen Strong? Listening to 790 this morning and they were talking about how his conditioning is terrible and that he has a long way to go.
BOB was bashing the conditioning of all of the rookies. I think if it's still an issue with Strong by camp, then we should start to worry.
so much for that chip on his shoulder...taking on #11 jersey etc etc... yeah I know, mindless speculation but hope the guy really steps up to the plate. real talent there
They were also saying that he keeps getting hurt, so he's missing valuable time in OTAs. They were attributing the injuries to most likely not being in shape.
All this staff does is complain about rookies and injuries. Better than calling them battlefighters I guess.
Hell, I'm still irritated at Lestar Jean for never turning into the player he seemed to be in preseason.
That describes a pretty big majority of Houston sports fans to a T. I have already noticed lots of Astros gear popping up around town, and most of the people sporting it could not name 4 players on the roster, lol.
