Lets say we moved RG3 to Houston to run the same offense using this personnel?? Any different result? I think the zone blocking scheme has been solved by a lot of defensive coordinators...Stop the run first and force them to pass... RG3 has terrible receivers, and Houston has a terrible starting QB...
Washington seemed to stop the run all by themselves... and the running game is the only aspect that uses the ZBS. Pass protection needs to be good no matter what team you're on. Also, RG3 has been inconsistent this season even when he has had time.
Great showing, for you Kirk Cousins fans. Great showing, for you Kyle Shanahan fans (God help the Texans if Kyle Shanahan and Kirk Cousins is their future.) https://twitter.com/search?q="Kyle Shanahan"&src=tren Spoiler
nice try of trying to troll, but as you can see doesnt matter which qb is back there, this zone offense that kubiak and shanahan run has been figured out lol.
He's been spotty this year... I don't see him being a "savior" type QB. In the end, he's just like any other QB that needs a good team around him to be good... then again, Luck has done more with little else more besides maybe better coaching. Additionally, there will be a regression back to needing QB's to be able to make throws out of the pocket, as the defenses continue to improve in their scheming against the read-option.
RG3 doesnt need the read option though, he doesnt have an aj green or megatron on his team, his recievers for the most part suck garcon is a number 2 on any legit other team in the league
And Schaub still sucks even WITH Andre80... Stafford isn't just better because he has megatron, it's because he is a decent QB himself.
He's been average, at best, this year when he's standing in the pocket and trying to hit open receivers. He's going to have to prove his ability to be a pocket passer in this league. Andrew Luck won't have a receiver as talented as Garcon for the rest of the year... but I don't really doubt his ability to hit the open receiver in-stride, or on timing routes.
Garcon was a number 2 in Indy next to Wayne and was let go because he was known for dropping passes, Peyton manning couldnt stand him
rg3 has been average right, but the backup the supposed savior comes in and throws 2 picks with less than 10 throws.... maybe its the COACHING and not rg3
Ok... still doesn't change Griffin's lack of ability to hit the open receiver consistently this season.
