thats what happens when everybody thinks your qb is carrying your team, they tend to look past the fact you have a very HIGHLY ranked defense. No way the Colts would have made the playoffs last year with all those turnovers by Luck if they didnt have a defense to hide those mistakes... same thing Geno is going through this year
Colts defense last year: Scoring: #21 Passing (yards): #21 Passing (yards per attempt): #23 Passing (opponent QB rating): #22 Rushing (yards): #29 Rushing (yards per carry): #31 They are good this year. Last year, that defense was somewhere between bad and terrible.
3rd down defense they were top 5 in the NFL, sure they gave up yards and a few points, but they got a lot of stops
There's a reason Luck has a lot of comeback wins. They trailed a lot, but came back b/c they stayed close. They weren't a great team last year. And if TRich was halfway decent, Colts would be a scary team for years to come offensively b/c Andrew Luck still has a long way to go before reaching his potential.
