Good luck prying him out of the pen at this point. He is mediocre to bad in the rotation. His fastball is mediocre as a starter. At 95-97 in the pen he is a completely different beast.
Ok, maybe Joe doesn't have to go. The added velocity on the fastball definetely makes his other pitches more effective.
