The Astros really surprised me going 4-3 on this last road trip. The worst road team in the NL only a week or so ago, and they go into LA and SD and take the first two of each set. Nice.
Right there with ya. They absolutely cannot lose to him at home. I don't care what happens the rest of this series. They cannot lost to Tim Redding.
We absolutely must win this series. Not tie it. Win it! Then again, we do have a habit of losing to the worst teams...
The blind fan in me want's the Stros to sweep and get into their division race, the realist want's either the Cubs/Brewers/Cards to pull away so that Drayton can't say "we have a team that's much better than the way we played so if we keep them together and everyone plays up to ability we will make up those games" This is the line we got from them after missing the playoffs by 2 wins last season (when the Cards were a 500 team) and I'm afraid if we are within a few games this season than we will hear the same bs. Well, I always want my teams to win, so that trumps everything. Who knows the way things are going a 9-1 homestand would put us 4 games below 500 and right in the mix. Good news=Pence/Berkman/Lee/Oswalt is a great core group Bad news=Not too much in the farm system It will be an intresting next 6 months heading into Spring training
Redding has pitched well of late.. sadly, I picked him up for his game against us (in fantasy). I hope he screws my fantasy team! I'm already in the playoffs anyway. I'm coming home for a few days...sweet that I get to go to the Thurs. game and luckily see Oswalt!
